Nilambari Jamdani Saree

Woven on a pit loom in Rupganj over roughly six weeks, the Nilambari carries a full-body buti in ivory against a deep indigo ground. The weave is supplementary weft — every motif is worked in by hand as the fabric grows, which is why no two pieces line up identically. The pallu carries a wider paar with a repeating lotus motif. Comes with an unstitched matching blouse piece.
